Discovering Use Cases for the Platform

When you’re thinking about what to build on the platform, start with use cases that have the highest impact and the lowest effort. In other words, whatever has the most “bang for your buck”.

Salesforce is generally very good for improving processes such as the following:

  • Anything that relies on a spreadsheet
  • Collaboration via email
  • Documents shared
  • Time-intensive, manual steps

HR can use the platform to improve the hiring and on-boarding processes.

IT help desk can use the platform to automate email responses, view statistics, automatically queue incoming requests and manage a knowledge base for common issues.
